born in 2002, has emerged as a passionate youth activist, human rights and queer rights advocate, actor, model, and writer. Growing up as an orphaned queer youth in Afghanistan, Adeb faced significant adversities. These challenges fueled his determination to fight for social justice and empowerment.

Early Activism

Adeb’s activism began in high school, where he joined local youth councils to advocate for youth rights and empowerment. His dedication quickly gained recognition, and he became a prominent voice for marginalized communities and continuied working for youth empowerment in youth councils and varieos US NGOs and organizations in Afganistan. Despite the threats and obstacles, his commitment to activism never wavered. When the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, he was forced to flee, continuing his advocacy work in Georgia, supporting the queer community and volunteering with various organizations.

Life in Canada

Relocating to Canada, Adeb’s activism flourished. He began working with newcomer youth and participated in theatre projects that highlighted the stories of refugee and immigrant children. His dual role as a performer and advocate earned him recognition, and he continued to work with various organizations to support youth empowerment and queer rights. In a very short time, Adeb achieved numerous accomplishments. He is now a proud member of the National Young Leaders Advisory Committee, advocating for youth voices and bringing youth perspectives into decision-making processes. He also founded and serves as the CEO of Growth Initiative for Dedicated LGBTQ+ Advocacy (GIDA)

Acting and Theatre

Adeb’s passion for acting began in his early childhood in Afghanistan, a country where his dream of becoming an actor seemed impossible. Despite the challenges, he pursued his passion, joining acting groups and agencies during high school. His talent and dedication led him to perform on various stages, taking on diverse roles and working with different agencies in multiple countries. He also participated in fashion shows on TV and at events.

Throughout his journey, Adeb has used theatre as a powerful tool in his activism, involving himself in numerous theatre projects that highlight social justice issues. His performances often intersect with his advocacy work, using the stage to depict unity and resilience. Today, he continues to cherish the same passion for acting that he had in his childhood, hoping to make his once impossible dream a reality.

Writing and Advocacy

As a writer, Adeb channels his experiences and insights into compelling narratives. He is working on a book titled “Survival,” which chronicles the untold stories of orphaned queer kids in Afghanistan, drawing from his personal journey. This upcoming publication aims to be a voice for those who did not survive, shedding light on their struggles and resilience. as well Adeb is set to publish a short story as a chapter , “My Teen Love and the Death Penalty,” focusing on the harrowing experiences of queer individuals in Afghanistan. His writing reflects his deep engagement with societal issues and his journey as an activist.
